I had to renew my British passport four months ago and reading the British Embassy's website it seems that expats living in Sweden now have to send all documents down to Dusseldorf in Germany because there is no passport issue in Stockholm any more,to save the government money??? and the cost was two hundred pounds.So to cut a long story short I put in for Swedish citizenship and got it without any questions,well I have lived here for fifteen years and now I have a Swedish passport. On the twelth of Nov myself and three lovely ladys from Sweden will be coming over to England for a short break and will be in `The King Billy`(a good biker pub)in Northampton on Friday 13th. So if anybodys around come in and say hello.Were the ones talking the funny language

finally done it after all these years. So now I get a vote on the government,whatever that means.
Lisa and I will be moving down to Gotland soon so when we're up and down the country we'll drop in and say hello

That boozer was in Irchester where my mum lives and my memory's not so good but I think it was 3 years ago. The Billy is in Northampton where I spent most of my growing up years but not to far from Irchester.
My young lady and 2 of her friends really want to see England so who am I to refuse

Yep Dave, and here's ya a little known fact about Gotland... It was founded by the Swedish ancestors of those very folks who've brought us that very famous ad campaign..."Got Milk?"!!! Yep...betcha didn't know that EITHER, did ya dude?! Well Stewe... can I interject to this here thread 'cause I have been following it with keen interest though I be so far away in another land. But I'd really like to see some pics of this Gotland and surrounding area if you will... that I might better understand where it is you that you actually hang your hat. Ya never know if I might pull a 'Dwight' and arrive in your fair land some fine day....

So Bengt, THEN in fact you ARE kind'a sayin' here that the place PROBABLY got its name from when the friends and families of the early settlers there would come to visit 'em, and the very FIRST question they'd always ask would be..."Got LAND???" 
(well...at least THAT'S gonna be MY "archeological theory" here until I hear a BETTER one anyway!!!)
