When Hardly Davidson won the bid to supply bike to the LAPD they basically sold them a stripped down Electra Glide. For instance, if the MC officer wanted footboards they had to supply thier own! I suppose the department paid thier own mechanics to oufit the lights and radios. I thought they would have been happy to get H-D, but most I spoke to at that time were none too happy . . . They were the lowest bidder and you get what you pay for.
