but did your Triumph dealer sell any Speedmasters?i think both models would have to sell poorly before they kill one or the other.starting in 08 the America and the Speedie are alot closer to being the same bike than ever before.on both models the whole engine is black except for the covers which are chrome on the America.if you go to the "build my own Triumph"part of their website any color option avaiable for the Speedie is avaiable for th America and vice versa.so as long as both are doing ok as combined unit sales i think they would be ok.little things like handlebars,chrome covers,rims and 16 or 17 front sprockets aren't going to be enough to kill one model and not the other,they are to just to close to being thae same bike now.
