OK folks, I know Connecticut is not typically thought of as one of those "warm sunny vacation places" any more than Scotland, Greenland, or Lithuania, but come on, snow for 5 hours straight in the middle of October! Geesh, at least let us get to Thanksgiving for criminy sakes...

Yeah, I was real excited to drive in snow for about two hours today on I-84 in PA. I hope this isn't a vision of things to come this winter....

Well HECK, Greg!!! Why do you seem to have a problem with this here, HUH?! This turn of events is ACTUALLY beneficial!!! Allow me to 'splain here.... You see, the more snow falls, the more it looks like Christmas...RIGHT?! AND, the EARLER the snow COMES, the longer the Christmas SHOPPING SEASON is...OR...at least APPEARS to be anyway...RIGHT?! And thus...THIS will ALL spur THE ECONOMY!!! (ya gotta problem with THAT, dude???!!!)

got like 6" of snow so far and supposed to snow most of the weekend. Had to drive home in it last night and going to work shortly in it now. I still have trees out back with green leaves on them. This is the worst snow here since sometime in the 1800s.

That wasn't age, that was weight. I'd run circles (well, walk circles) around you now.

Darn near 100 here in Phoenix today. Summmer just won't let go... But at least this morning was very nice, about 65degrees. It was perfect for morning coffee with friends, and then up some twisities at our favorite mountain before splitting off for work!!

Hmmmm....let's see now .......
100 minus 20(which is usually the degree difference between the two towns) is....80!
(okay now...wait a minute while I go into another computer field here and see if I'm right.....)
YEP! It's presently 80 degree in Prescott Arizona right now, Martin! Which, don't forget now newbie is where that SOUTHWEST TRIUMPH FEST is gonna be takin' place this comin' MAY again....like I told ya in your first posting 'round here, dude!!!
(hmmmmmm...80 and sunny huh?!...sure wish I was at the other house right about now...sounds NICE there today...and while it's also just about 80 in L.A. here today too, I KNOW there's a whole lot less traffic THERE than in this here concrete jungle alright!)
(...and nope, I never do get tired of these shameless plugs, if THAT'S what some o' you folks are wonderin' here!!!!)

I'm in Kentucky (which, in my geographically challengend mind, is the South) and weather reports are predicting snow this evening and tomorrow. Not fair!

That's right - I am familiar with that event, but I've never gone.... Not sure why - maybe when I rode my Speed Triple and Sprint I felt I was too good for it or something dumb like that!! ???? This coming year I'll have to show. This weekend is supposed to be the local AZRATPACK Laughlin ride. Only one rider is going. Man, I wish I could go.......... But hte wife said this weekend I have to stay home. Quote:

Oh it was SOOOOOOOO nice. 73 degrees, sunny, breezy. Only had time for a short 50+ mile jaunt down to Boulder, MT, for a quick burger. Tomorrow? Freezing rain.

Went out to Ohio and back on Sunday to see the daughter at college. Snapped this picture at Fenzil, MD on I-68. They always get an early snow up here (about an hour from WVU/Morgantown). Snowed just enough to be pretty.

, It is becoming readily apparent, the older I get the less enthused I become for loooong dark nights, the "romance" of a wood fired kicker and the inevitable white stuff.
.......but it goes with the territory

well, I guess the consolation will come in April, when I roll Blue out of the garage, blow the dust and cobwebs off of her (and the cat pawprints!-GRRRRR!!!!!), and fire up those Bubs for the first time after a couple months, sending a clearly audible signal to every house in the neighborhood, that spring is about...
