Sometimes I'd like to find that Murphy guy and strangle him!! The 'law' suggests that if anything can go wrong... it will! Latest example... got a gig coming up on Friday which includes killer harmonies done by yours truly and my music partner. So.... I get a throat infection which seems to be leading to a full-on head cold. GREAT!!! I'm doing the gig anyway in a better-living-through-modern-chemistry sort of way.

Would love to hear YOUR Murphy's Law story, past or present... so lay it on thick or thin and tell us your tale.

Wow Rich! Haven't you heard???

Just the other day Murphy's doctor ran some tests and found that Murphy's correlaries have some severe blockage in them. And so Murphy has been scheduled for an angioplasty at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills tomorrow!!!

(sorry to break it to ya this way ol' boy, but I thought all of Murphy's friends had been notified about this by now)

Murphy was an optimist, if nothing can go wrong, it will anyway.

I prefer Muphry's Law:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muphry's_law

It happens often on this forum.

Quote:

Muphry's Law is an adage that states that "if you write anything criticizing editing or proofreading, there will be a fault of some kind in what you have written". The name is a deliberate misspelling of "Murphy's Law".

Naaah! Now THAT ain't true at ALL, John!!! "Your" just kiddin' us all here, aren't ya???

(oh and BTW...I think you folks will be happy to know that according to his doctor, Murphy's angioplasty "went swimmingly" today...however, because word also got out from the same hospital that Mark Spitz was having the very same procedure done today too, we had to make sure with the doctor that he was in fact talking about Murphy!....and he assured us he was...whew!)

Modern chemistry... mmmmmm. Sick as a dog now... gig coming up tomorrow. Going anyway and will blow the crowd away in spite of feeling like the Green Bay Packers just used my body for their playing field. Aaaarrrrrgggggggg!!

I remember an outdoor gig I did last year. Amazing weather, just fantastic until the day of the gig, then it rained and got real cold. The sky broke just before the gig but the ground was wet, cold and void of the crowd we expected. A Murphy day then too.

Them there capsules I'm takin' make we stupid but at least I can show up. I'm just afraid I'll end up on the stage and not remember why I'm there.

Now PLEASE tell me this gig tomorrow night is NOT outdoors, right Keith?!!

'Cuz if it IS, then please advise me NOW of the address to Trail BC General Hospital so's I can get that Get Well Card in the mail early!!!

(ya see, when somebody's underneath one of them there oxygen tents, it makes it kind'a hard to send addresses to people then, dude!!!)

Ha!!! No worries there my fine weather friend! 'Tis indoors all the way and there will be a good support team to catch me if I fall into the abyss of the crowd. But I feel sort of like this with an added and a kind of . I just can't resist the opportunity you see to bring it on strong with all those killer harmonies me and buddy have been working on. We're gonna bring down the house!!!! Now.... where did I leave those capsules... I know they're around here somewhere!!!
