Since the local weather is forecasting snow this weekend (it is raining now), I’m going to propose a non-motorcycle question for the forum:
What ringtones, if any, do you have on your cell phones?
I would be unstoppable if not for law enforcement and physics.

I used to have the themes from Mission Impossible and The Munsters on my last phone, now I just have Moby's version of James Bond.

Hey I got this cool sound effect that sounds just like a ringing telephone. Uncannily realistic. OK, call me boring. And the weather in the Carolina's was rotten last weekend! ! !

A regular phone ring was the one thing my last two phones did not have! Used to bother me until I decided to set ringtone IDs with my most frequent callers (I don't have to look at the phone to decide who gets ignored).

I used to have Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" but now I just use whatever comes on the phone that isn't too annoying.

Well Cindy, need you ASK??? Why...OF COURSE it's the theme-song from the Addams Family!!! ("dah dah Dah DAH, snap snap"!!!) Naah! Not really! You see, I just got me a brand spankin' new cellphone, and I haven't changed the ringtone to anything other that lousy friggin' ubiquitious Verizon one it came with. (I guess I just haven't had enough time in my "busy schedule" lately to get to that, ya know!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Maybe y'all can help me pick a ringtone for my girlfriend. I've narrowed it down to the following two songs:
1. Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen 2. F.I.N.E. by Aerosmith
If you know what FINE stands for you'll understand my dilemma.

I do get a kick when cell phones ring in public and the ringtone in no way matches the public image of the person. Gives you a brief view into their inner sanctum. Funniest I ever saw was a burly dude in Harbor Freight, whose phone rang with a bubblegum song that somebody said was Britney Spears. Dude couldn't get it open fast enough. Yeah, we all backed away from that one.

When I used to commute by train, I had 'Chattanooga Choochoo' on my phone. Now I have a blackberry that was given to me and it is too complicated to change the ringtone.

I find most popular songs are too quiet for me to use as a ringtone - I never hear them before the call has rolled over to voicemail. If I could get a decent rendering of "O Fortuna" (think of the movie Excalibur) I might go with that.
One thing that's given me a start a couple of times is Nokia's default text message beep. It's Morse code for SMS (... -- ...) which is almost identical to SOS (... --- ...). I'll be at the store or at work and hear what sounds like somebody sending SOS, and immediately think I should call the Coast Guard.

I always assign the Benny Hill theme to my boss. Bad to the bone to my drinking buddies and sweet home Alabama to the wife.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

F.I.N.E. I think I'd be in the market for A Brand New Girlfriend... I know the grocery stores down here are a target rich environment! Try 5 - 7 pm. Hang out in the bakery section for the Fat Bottom Girls... Produce section for the Wild Ones... I'll never admit I can download ringtones.... I just pick the least cheesy or annoying ones that came with the phone.. later, Tom.
But, what do I know?

Download? God forbid. I never understood why my wife would pay $2.99 for a 30-second song clip when she could buy the whole song for a buck. (Well, actually I do understand - she wasn't the one paying for them.)
I got a USB cable and some free software (BitPim) that lets me load ringtone files, and another piece of free software (Audacity) to edit MP3s down to ringtone length.
The cuckoo clock ringer I made for my last job (it was a reminder to fill out our time cards, and a commentary on the timekeeping rules) was very popular.

Yup, that Audacity is useful for editing .mp3, .wav and other audio type files. And it's FREE so what the heck! Make yer own ring tones!

I like it! I'd be able to hear that pretty much anywhere. Come to think of it, Roger Daltrey does a respectable scream in "Won't Get Fooled Again."
Thanks!
