Im sorely tempted to Part X my Speedmaster and Suzuki SV1000 for a .....
2006 06 Reg KAWASAKI VN VN1600 MEANSTREAK 1600cc
It looks and rides great... do I want it, yes I do, should I get rid of the Triumph? now theres a question, and I cant afford all of them!

Have you seen the Thunderbird? All I can say, is that in 7 years, I've owned 9 bikes - 4 of them Triumph's. I've had others and they haven't stayed in my garage long before returning. If I've finally learned one thing... take a long time before deciding to change, and ride what you are going to buy several times before taking it! ;-) Good luck with the quest.
BTW: There is no shame in having 3 bikes in the garage. LOL!

Keep the SM and get rid of the Suzuki. If you absolutely have to have a 1600 CC motorcycle buy a Thunderbird and keep the SM. If you can't afford a Thunderbird and a SM keep the SM. Did I mention keep the SM?

For gosh sakes man, get a grip! I mean you're losing it and ya have to know that before you really go out and hurt yourself by dumping the SM. Ya got a lot of support here to do the right thing... I just hope you still have enough of your faculties left to heed the call!

The Meanstreak never caught on. Too heavy. Get a Rocket III.The riceburner can go. No harm done there.
2008 BA, Ageon Blue, roadster shield, light bar. tach, big bags, square engine guard, short sissy with rack. All Triumph parts. No mods.

The Meanstreak is a really fun bike. It wont turn with your SV, but it is a blast.
For my money though I'd look for a Warrior. A little more distinctive to look at and that motor is a BEAST.
If you can swing it though, the T-Bird does to everything the Mean Streak does (or at least so I read).

I once rode a kwacker belonging to a friend, it had slightly less personality than a refrigerator. If you don't keep the Triumph, or at least get another you will regret it.

absolutely agree.get rid of the SM for a Kawasaki?i hear that swine flu thing is going around,wait until you get better before you make any rash decisions.

So, generally you think I should keep the SM.. went out on it again yesterday, it is a fun bike... I cant afford the T Bird, way outta my price range.

Right.. I have made a decision, spoke to the wife so we are good to go, over the next 3 months Im breaking down the engine and fitting a 904 BB kit, that along with the newly fitted uprated clutch, a slightly bigger drive sprocket and a raised rev limiter should keep me interested in the old girl.. O yea, I also have a spare tank Im spraying up to make it MINE.. watch this space.  TrOjAn
