I went back to using a Mac early this year.
I've never been a Mac fan for compatibilities sake. Well that and the issues I have with proprietary systems. I have considered getting one since they started using windows, but have not had the chance to use one. Do the new systems with windows have the same feel as a PC?
I’m curious, but being “hands on†I would most likely build my next system too.
The feel is the same. Main diference you will notice is that a MAC runs Windows quicker than a PC.
Here is a list of things i miss most about not having a PC... - I enjoyed the challenge of fixing hardware/software problems/conflicts and constantly upgarding this bit and that to try and make it work faster / better. - I enjoyed the challenge of defending myself against virus attacks and installing all maner of firewalls, anti virus software. - I enjoyed the heart stopping moments when opening a joke email attachment when everything freezes and you wonder what you've just done - I enjoyed the thrill of setting up broadband conections and networks and spending endless hours getting decices to talk to each other
My MAC on the otherhand is very boring. It just works, and quickly.
