Well, first of all John, this "bait" was NOT just offered to that person you just mentioned. NOPE!!!
It was offered towards a WHOLE HOST of folks around here who I'm really tired of seeing some of the moderators allowed to rant on about subjects which violate the "new" A.U.P.s here at this website.
Because as I just explained to Larry, and as I know YOU know, there are more than just a few folks here who when after seeing a clever observation or EVEN a rational thought expressed about "those" subjects will not refrain themselves from throwing out opinions such as, well, let's take this very issue that this thread was sarted by me about in efforts to put a lid on it because it was BOUND to get out of hand...Obama's Nobel Prize!
It would start out as a simple supposition postulated by someone here who might say something like, "Don't you think it's rather strange that Obama this early in his term has somehow won that prize?"...a very reasonable and rational question asked.
And John, I KNOW you know that eventually SOMEBODY(and maybe NOT "that" somebody) would say sometime like..."YEAH! And THAT'S because he's sold out America!" and THAT would just be the BEGINNING of their rant!
And THAT'S the kind of CRAP I'm REALLY tired of reading from folks around here, AND really tired of some of the moderators who, over the course of these years that I've been a member here, KNOW might agree with that kind of "crap" and so seem to have a tendency to "let it ride".
I mean John, you yourself here very recently used what I thought wasn't your best judgement when you jumped right on that newby and almost immediately wanted to ban him from this website. And that was AFTER I got him to apologize for some ill-tempered remarks he made. BUT, when for some reason some of the "OLD TIMERS" around here go on these same kind of UNAPOLOGETIC(and THAT might be even MORE the issue here)ill-tempered rants, there seems to be a double standard.
So, what's up with that?
(and BTW, regarding the trip...yes, I will begin to write THAT report very soon....as soon as I can get SOME FOLKS around here to understand how to "play the game" around here in more of a reasonable manner.....WAIT a minute...that'll probably mean I'll NEVER get to that ride recap then, HUH?!)
