Well Larry, I hope you were joking here, as the Lounge has historically been open AND accepting to a plethora of topics that may not have much to do with motorcycling at all.
Football, Baseball, Movies, Songs...heck, you name it!
What it is NOT for, at least anymore SINCE the so-called "New A.U.P.s" were instititued at BA.com is for the DISCUSSION of politics, religion, and a few more topics that off the top of my pointy little head I can not recall at the moment, that WOULD cause heated debates to very possibly occur.
Now, while I noted your clever response in this thread about "The Onion taking over the media" the other morning, which if you recall I did infer WAS "clever"(and which I also said I somewhat agreed), AND your "clever" remark about "paying taxes to keep the CO2 levels down" in that "Riding Season Over" thread...there ARE(and I'm sure you're smart enough to know this) a few folks around here who find it VERY hard to stop with just "subtle" little opinions like that. Nope. They go on RANTS!!!
Come on, YOU KNOW what I'm talking about here.
And, I ALSO hope that you realize THIS THREAD was started by me in order to keep those people(and once again, I have enough respect for your intelligence that I think you know who those people are) from doing just THAT. And, in the process of this thread there was been many interesting correspondence between many fellow members who just want to have some fun around here.
AND, if you have felt here that I have somehow "tied your hands" in some way so you couldn't "be free" to express your opinions in depth about those now verboten topics(and that's the impression I'm getting here with your latest post)...THEN...ol' buddy...I'm sooooooo sorry!
