I cant see how the cops could do anything. As mentioned above, it says NO PARKING. It doesn't say NO STANDING. Never really thought about it but I can see your point about it increasing the chance of a accident. With that being said, I think your anger would be better directed towards the car that is barreling through the cross walk. I had one come so close to the me and the girlfriend on a crosswalk that I punched the side of his car. For some reason the guy STILL didnt slow down.
