I added the Rivco center stand to my bike about two weeks after buying the bike. It was a fairly easy install (much easier than the install on my Valkyrie!), about 90 minutes. I found it easier to install using a center jack so that I could get under the bike from either side and see what was needed. And yes, you can still use the side stand after installing the center stand. I find the center stand very handy, both for maintenance and when parking the bike on rides. You can't always find the idea place to use your side stand.
