Well I signed paper work for a loan for my bike rebuild to day. I now have a 4000 dollar loan on my bike which gave me 2200 for parts. After much wishing for a Rocket III front end I called triumph and order stock fork tubes 200 each and a front rim 650. I still have to add tax and shipping in to those prices. That is going to put me just over 1000 so far, dam it goes fast. I am planing for about 500 for the tire and labor to have the forks rebuilt and the tire put on. That will give be about 500 for a tank and some odds and ends. Now that I am waiting for parts I am going to take the cut off wheel to the back fender and redo the lights. My goal is to ride it from my fathers to my house about 5 miles for storage before the snow flys. If anyone has parts this a list of stuff I still need.
Stuff I need: Rear break leaver ( bent it back but looks funny ) Front master cylinder cover Clear turn signal covers a rear fender ( talking cheap maybe even prebobbed ) Tank ( ya I know there are a lot right now I'm waiting till after the front is done to get one ) Right peg driver and passenger Rear break leaver throttle cables ( usable but if someone has a spare set I would like to replace them )
Thanks for the help and support I miss my bike so much.

You've listed the rear brake lever twice so I figure you need one pretty bad. I'll have a look on my "shelf 'o' parts" in the am and see what I got to offer. Best of luck getting it back together. I know it feels like the snow isn't far off up here already.

So far I got mirrors, a brake cover, a rim and fork tubes. I'm going to bob off the damage on the back fender. Then hook up a light thing that turns the turn signals in to tail lights. I just won a bid on a gas tank for 115 shipped. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Now I got to save money for labor to have the fork rebuilt and to buy a tire. should I just get a Metzler or should I change tire brands? Here are some pics of the mirrors I bought and of were I think I going to bob the fender

I can't wait to see the fender after you've bobbed it. If you would, how about posting some shots of the work as you progress with a little commentary on the work. it prove useful to those of us who haven't decided weather the look is worth the effort, or in my case determine just how badly I could mess it up.

I'm guessing you mean to paint your tank but if you need a new tank, I've got my original 06 Speedy tank in black. Great shape. Let me know if you are interested.

Are you bobbing the fender because of the damage or because you want too? The reason I'm mentioning this...that fender is repairable.

Hopeing to win this and save me a lot of money. The seller says it was a take off because a racing rim was installed. Is it bad that front and back rim wont match? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

So, does the new (used) tank fit on the frame or do you have to mod anything to make it work since you had the new style tank originally?

I got the forks back from being rebuilt and put them on I also got the foot peg hanger powder coated and put that back on. I decided I wanted the rim black so I am waiting for that and I sent the head light to get powder coated.

The I when to ride it down my yard to put it up for the winter and something is lose in the head so thats got to get taken apart and retorked and checked. Well not much elts is going to get done I had to get it out of my dads garage for the winter. My shed has no power and no tools.

Well I worked on my mirrors. I wanted the end pieces to fit in side of my bars. So I mad a lathe out my my drill. Put a bolt through the piece and use a metal fill to cut it down. To boniest it came out a lot better then I though. I will get some pics of the mirrors on the bike soon. But the weather change and I haven't been able to get out to take pics. The two sides were the same when I started
