Congrats, you passed the gov't. mandated test.

The REAL driving test starts now and lasts forever. Keep your wits about you and expect the unexpected.

Ride safe.

You mean you actually have to pass a test to ride one of these, humm never knew that

Congrat's on passing not sure what the test is like there, but ours is kind of lame if you ask me. None of it is real world riding skills as far as I am concerned. Never have I had to weave through a bunch of orange cones at 2 foot intervals while I was out riding. Ok Ok once at a construction zone, but that was for fun,,,

Congratulations!

Just wondering - what is the bike test like over there as I'll have to get that sorted out as soon as I move over.

Mind you I have to get my car test sorted out as well pretty sharpish.

Compared to what I know about driving tests in the UK, most driving tests at the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) that you will take in the States are easy. Do you know where you're moving to yet?

The driving test in the States compared to the driving test in the UK is a piece of cake(bike and car). Its brief and easy.

I have taken both, in both countries so I do have an idea of what you will experience.

I figured it shouldn't be a big problem anyhow just wondered any pitfalls that might be a problem.

I'm going to be moving just outside Pittsfield MA. Probably going to be mid next year or thereabouts.

Almost all States are different on what is required for a test but all require at least a written test(general knowledge) simple test common sense mostly, and then there is the skills test, in Missouri it is pretty simple, they have you ride through a few cones doing different maneuvers some may follow you in a car to see how you ride some wont bother. You can get most of the info from what ever state your moving to online DMV
