Have I missed something? Did Dwight post the stories of his trip over the pond and I failed to see it? Where are the "Tall Tales of Europe"? Inquiring minds wanna know!!

Dwight!

later, Tom.

But, what do I know?

I beginning to wonder if this California dude is a bit of a flake. Been trying to pin him down to a rendezvous up here in God's country but nothing's come of it. Mind you, if I lived in Sunnyville like he does, I might be lulled into a trance-like state too!

Live to love, love to live.

Nah Tom, you didn't miss it. Guilty as charged!

But besides the overwhelming cause in the delay of writing up this travelogue(procrastination), I do have a minor excuse I can use, and that is I've kind'a been waitin' for Thanassis to send me all of the pictures he and his girlfriend Kathy took along the way, which are much more extensive than the meager number of pics I took, so I could use them as kind of a picture storyline when I do get around to writing it.

(though after reading that excuse back to myself just now I do realize that that has all the credence of the classic "The Dog Ate My Homework Excuse", doesn't it???!!!)

I expect to receive them within the next 24 hours from Thanassis via Skype, and so after that I SHOULD have this baby posted here within a week from now by the latest.

(and BTW...don't be too let down with the final version of it once it's posted, 'cause just like I told Thanassis more than once over there whenever he told me that he fully expected to read a first-rate travelogue from me once I returned to the states, that, well, "My stock-in-trade has always been the 'Glib One-liner', NOT 'real' writing, ya know!!!")

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Yep Keith, I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to ya about when I'm headed up to BC! Looks like it might be early to mid-October now. However, once this flake here does settle on the dates, you will be the first to know!

(...okay, maybe the second to know after my Ma up in Kelowna, that is)

Tom,

I can personally guarantee that Dwight is more than capable of writing a world class and lengthy write-up of his travels here in Europe.
During some of our longer conversations ... I just couldn't get a word in edge-wise!
I have now also sent him all the pictures.

He has no excuse!

Hey Dwight! Not to stress you, but we're still waiting...

Okay...OKAY already, guys!!!

How's about if I give ya a quick glimpse of where I'm at presently with my story:
____________________________________________________

"It was a dark and stormy night, and...."
____________________________________________________

...AND, THAT'S as far as I've been able to get with this baby so far! Sorry.

DARN this writer's block!!!!

BUT, don't worry guys! When this baby's done, trust me, it'll make for some "fascinating" reading while you're sittin' next to those roaring fires in your fireplaces!!!

(hey...startin' in about a month from now, MANY of you guys out there won't be ridin' your bikes anyway, RIGHT?!...and sooooo, NOW you'll have somethin' to look forward to doin' as those snowflakes gently gather upon those frosted up windows o' yours out there this winter, RIGHT???!!!)

Dwight, Maybe you shouldn't look at it as ONE LARGE STORY. Maybe, juuuussst maybe, you could entice us with short chapters, delivered in a timely manner. Divide and conquer so to speak! That way we aren't on your ******, and you'd be moving along with your epic adventure! On the up, or downside, it would leave room for the critiques to come in DURING the penning of your literary masterpiece, rather than at the end. (no matter how diligently I may try to type in Dwightish, it never comes out right...)! Do I need more run-on sentences, cleverer catch phrases, more punctuation, or invent new words????

later, Tom.

But, what do I know?

"It was a dark and stormy night, dark like the inside of a spare tire in the trunk of a 1957 Chevy sitting up on blocks in a tumbledown barn somewhere in rural Ohio, and stormy like the romance of Pete Kimball and his girlfriend Betty Lou, who used to make out in the back seat of that Chevy when it was new and shiny and the Dell-Vikings were singing “Come Go With Me”; but this is not their story, it just starts out dark and stormy like that." (Yes, I stole that...)

Oh, maybe you didn't want any help with the story?

Well Dwight, you could start off something like this:

A long time ago, in a land far away, two gallant knights astride their trusty Triumph steeds, ventured off to save some poor damsels in distress......... :
