I agree with Ian. The latest white paper is out from Amsoil http://www.oildepot.ca/complete-product-line/amsoil-motor-oil-line/amsoil-motorcycle-white-paper.pdf and guess what, Amsoil and Mobil are 1 & 2 in the 40 and 50 weight catagories for cycles (See page 23/24). Royal Purple is 14th in the 40 weight and 7th in the 50 weight catagories of 17 oils tested. Price isn't an issue when it comes to my cycle. Why not go with the best?

Oh yeh, mine clunks on the initial shift from neutral to 1st. The rest are smooth.
