Well, I went and done did it. I bought a trailer. Went round and round with this decision and due to many factors, I settled on one that's called Trailer in a Bag and is literally that. It breaks down into component pieces and can be stored in my truck. The trailer is VERY sturdy and well built. Here's a pic from their website:
