I'm thinking about buy a trailer too. Lot's of reasons to have one.

I used my Dakota to haul my bike to Wyoming and back a couple summers ago. It worked great. I laid some plywood on the bed which extended out over the tailgate. I stabilized the front wheel with some boards. I double strapped everything. I bought a folding ramp at Northern Equipment. I put on 2000 miles on the truck and 600 miles on the bike after I got there.
