My older bro went to El Camino for a while after high school in the 60's when my family lived in Lawndale. On a business trip some time back, I mentioned to a friend that I intended to cruise by the old family homestead, but I was advised not to visit that neighborhood, because it's now pretty "gangy." Sad.
