As to taking your eyes off the road.... what's the big deal. You take your eyes off the road when you look at your speedo, dash, tach, idiot lights, girls, guys, traffic lights, rear view mirrors....hmmmmm 
I noticed you have, or had a 1973 TX 750 yammie... I had a 1973 TX 500 yammie. I loved that candy copper color... MMV.
