If you want the scoop on the piston differences/ actual vs claimed compression just call fast fred he has difinite thoughts on this.

once I got the ignition timing controlled (so I could run on straight pump gas) my 12:1 engine runs really strong. Big difference from stock!
I do miss the exhaust smell of burning toluene though.
