I bought a pair of Epcos but like others on the forum I found them to be a bit too loud and raspy so I went to the hardware store and bought two M20 stainless steel fender washers and had a local welder that does stainless weld them to the back of the rear flange of each baffle. The washers were the same outside diameter as the baffles so they fit perfectly. The result is a deep throaty rumble that is not too loud or raspy. The added back pressure also takes care of any popping on decel.
I don't know how to post pictures but if someone wants to see pics of this mod let me know and I will e-mail them to you.

That is good nice tip. I have used many washers for back plates in baffles and have had great success changing the performance as well as the sound. Varying the size of the opening makes a big difference.

And here I thought I had a brilliant idea. Just 2 days ago I cut two washers that are 2 1/2"s in diameter and installed them in the end of the stock slash cut mufflers. I took out 3 baffles each side and had an exhaust note I really liked. Not one to leave well enough alone, I punched two 1/2" holes in each remaining 4th baffle. Then I had a sound that was too loud and raspy for my liking. Now, I seem to have reduced the volume by about 30%, but have an exhaust note that sounds like a 4 cylinder. Not sure if I like this mod.

Gregorz- sorry for the obvious, but the welds must be on backside of the washer. how did that work out?
