Interesting read Ed. Confirms another one of my observations. The MP3 generation doesn't even know what good sound is. Most concert sound systems now sound like MP3s. The goal of transparent reproduction of sound has been thrown out the window. It doesn't sound "right" to many now unless it's been digitized, chopped, and compressed. Disheartening and definitely has taken the passion out of my work. BTW, my own PA is still 100% analog. I sub in the big "new" guys when needed.
Didn't mean to hijack, and yes, I will buy the new Beatles' CDs.
