There is a different baffle you can buy, it is longer from a company called Hard Kore

leonics from the site had a set on his bike and it toned them down nicely.

What he did was as follows:

I cut the mounting tab and about an inch and a half off other end so they would sit tight between
the original baffle and the end cap, that was pretty easy with a Dremel cutting wheel.
I figured for $70 buck it was worth a try. They went in fairly easy and come out quickly.
I have considered rapping some batting around them to further quiet my exhaust. leonics
