I am looking for pictures and sound files of Specialty Spares long cannons in black on an America. I am stuck between these and a set of Sceptre Pipes. The owner Dale said that he thought somebody on here has a set of black long cannons and could get a pic up.

They are loud, but from what friends tell me they are not obnoxiously loud like straight pipes. You know they are coming and going. have a nice deep rumble. I'll see if I can make a sound clip for you. eddy

As awesome as those SS's sound in the clip, they sound so much more incredible in person. Cracked me up a couple years ago at the Kootenay Raid in Nelson, BC, when Zdenko fired his up and it got EVERYBODY'S attention (and the pipes alone probably got him that best Triumph in the Kootenays plaque). The last time I saw a reaction like that at that event was several years ago when a Nitrous Oxide-equipped Rocket III fired up. That was loud, but not as sweet as the SS pipes.

That was funny!
Ive heard the pipes on other bikes and Ive even heard mine ride away from me....they are not as loud as I thought. They just seem louder when on top of them or behind. Low rumble...not obnoxious.
I like me in black too.

I have Spectre pipes, which I love. They are pretty ****** loud but not super loud. I ride with a buddy who has a street bob that is way louder(and annoying). Anyways, I bought my pipes used for a good price but buying new I'd get the SS too. Thats a fair price and they aren't quite as loud from what I understand but right up there.

Those I think are flat black. I think they quit making the satin as there were consistency. They actually belong to Old Roadie, Ed Turner from the site.

I see in the picture Eddy posted that the end of the pipe is silver. Do the billet tips replace the silver piece? I really like the idea of having everything black from the headers back.

Those are aluminum billet tips, if you wanted the pipes black to the tip just leave them off. And,yes, the pipes are more flat than satin recently retouched with VHT's Black Ceramic coating.
This an older image but you get the general idea.

Ed, Finaly...a new angle on that fine bike of yours. I was getting tired of the same ole shot you add to every SS thread. Still love the bike! Quote:
