Has anyone just adjusted the forks to be say 1 inch higher in the triple trees? I have read this is an alternative to ? progressive lowering kit ... Just wondering how this worked out if you did ...

-----------------

The heck with it , I just ordered the entire lowering kit from http://www.greatbaymotorcycles.com/ for like $390 or something. And here I said to myself, I will NOT do any more to this bike ...

I was thinking along the same lines.... My intentions were/are to send my rear shocks to SOTMC to have them cut down. IF I lower the front end as well I was thinking about just sliding the forks up into the triple trees the same amount as cut off the rears.... about 1 1/2" I also thought then about using this little bit of protruding fork length to mount the turn signals on using the 41mm fork mounts. I have a friend of mine that is rather, shall we say, vertically challenged that has been doing this to all of his bikes for years and has never had a prob with it yet.
