Ok..So it's not new... but new to me. I like it. I wish Triumph would do something like this and go even more retro than they did with the 50th Anniversary Bonnie. Royal Enfield Classic Bullet C5

I like it too, and after I showed it to my sister, she decided that she was going to try and get one. The red one definitely looks the best. I think it would be a great bike for tooling around town on, 500cc single thumper.

REs are retro no doubt, in all respects. Very cool like the old Bonnies, but like the old Bonnies you'll spend about as much time wrenching as riding.

Anywhoooo, I really like the look of the RE. I would have one in my possession by now if it were not for the fact that they are not available in Canada. One day though... meanwhile here's a couple of my favorites.

Will she? I dunno. She keeps looking with no luck, I don't think the Bullet Classic is available here. There is an Enfield dealer somewhere around here, might be worth a call to see what one can get.

I love these bikes as well. You guys should check out this forum. US Royal Enfield Forum. The newer bikes are in the UCE ( Unit Construction Engine )section The site is great reading and they have an excelent gallery    I would leave it a while myself untill I am sure the gearboxes are sorted though.

I'd like to give one the Erle treatment.
Remove the fenders, fork shrouds, headlight housing, sidecovers, air box, turnsignals/markers.
Ad Clip-ons or dragbars, slash cut megaphone mufflers.
Ultimately hard tail!

Electric start,electronic ignition,EFI,hydraulic tappets
not much to do except change the oil and filter and check the spokes and ride, they look realy good in the flesh

Don't get me wrong I think they are cool. My friends who own the older ones are constantly working on them between rides, much more than I do to my old Bonnies. But given the choice I'd rather have a Thruxton for a second every day bike, which I do.
