Thanks for your reply, Yes, I will take it to the dealer again. I just am stymied as to why this started happening. The bike has almost 18,000 miles on it now and I never noticed the problem before a couple months ago after a 7000 mile trip.
I keep the bike as clean as I can and I thought that maybe I have cleaned it off before it had a chance to show itself.
Maybe this is a natural build up area for road grime or something.
You going to tell me you havent tasted oil just to check?
