I used a clip style link and I no longer advise the use of one on an X ring or O ring chain. In order to compress the link enough to get the clip on it forced out the O ring and even then I had a tough time getting the clip to seat in the little groove. I am going to buy a rivet tool and change the clip link out for the rivet type. I would still use the clip on the std chains and have been riding with the clip link on my X ring for now but I want the seal to do it's job and it isn't the way it is now.
