Does anyone does know if the right side engine cover is interchangeable for all America's...Bonneville...thruxtons... whether it be 790 or 865...? Im pretty sure the left side's are different between America's and Bonneville's...
Also, What are the chances of finding someone willing to trade their chrome one for a black one?

I'm pretty sure the Bonne's, Thruxton, Scramblers side covers are a different shape than ours. Also, I am lead to believe the chrome covers are rare as hen's teeth and were only produced during 02 and 03.

They are different sizes, only the Speedmaster and America will interchange. Bonneville may swap with Thruxton, but neither will go on our bikes. Quote:

Are you sure about that? I thought they were the same but just had a different look like the sprocket cover. The sprocket cover bolts but will hit the frame but as far as fitting the engine is the same with a different look.

I didn't see any left side covers (primary cover) at Pinwall, just looked.

haha i will clean out my pm box now...I sold my America guys... Very very very very tough to let it go...only had to ride it 10 mins to drop it off at the guys house...and stops 5 times along the way with second guessing thought lol
But...Im keeping it in the triumph family.
I am going to be looking for chrome side covers because Im prolly getting a bonnie black or thruxton.

I've got an '03 America that I switched out to the T-100 cover with....straight swap , just needed some longer bolts
The side engine case is a straight swap
