Guys, I was born in Wisconsin and am a lifelong, forever Packer fan. Me and most other cheeseheads would have done anything for this guy. And he has done great things, and has been a great guy. But this saga has most of us befuddled, and worse, losing respect. But truth is, with offers, who can say "no". He's not that old, Marino played until an older age, and Brett is bigger and stronger than he was. And so many young QBs get paid high salaries and never deliver, so a veteran who has experience and success is always preferred by teams needing a starter.
Overall, it hurts, but I still love the guy - he just wants to have fun and play (and make $) why not - just wish he didn't do the retire thing in the first place. He was a few points from appearing in another Superbowl with his last Packer season - remember? Everyone would have welcomed him as the starter if he wanted to stay on - but he had a tearful retirement to end career (close) to on top, so everyone said "fine, whatever you want, we love you" but then...
So now, he joins are DESPISED rival Vikings, so that's about worse thing he could do with all his (ex?) Packer fans. Anyway, should have played out different, 1 or 2 more years as Packer and everything would have worked out, now this.
