As you all know I am still recovering from back surgery just came from the doctors and I start physical therapy soon and I am on another four weeks of still taking it easy.
I was curious if my bike would start wasn't sure..I haven't
started it since the first part of may...I went out to the garage and uncovered her and admired for a few moments and she started right up now I just have to wait a little longer to ride...

No doubt you must be getting the 'itch', but don't short yourself on treatment - let your back heal fully so you can ride pain free. Best wishes for your therapy. And maybe throw a battery tender on your ride to keep it fresh.

Bet it sounded purdy!! Give enough time to heal properly but it's still okay to tease yourself. I completely understand.

From somebody who has had a crook back - dont hurry the recovery. Its worth it. Good things take time. Good chance to give it a real good clean! Plenty of riding to come.

It couldn't hurt just to sit on it, start it up, set a box fan in front of you and close your eyes for a little while....

For extra effect, clothes pin some playing cards so they hit the fan blades or you'll just think you need louder pipes...

My chiropractor thinks mine is great! That's right, I ride to the chiropractor.

I have fried a few using battery chargers, and even trickle chargers, by leaving them hooked up too long. Now I use a Deltran Battery Tender Jr., which I hook up only overnight about every fourth week and disconnect the next morning. The mfgs. say you can leave them connected, but overcharging is the worst for all batteries.

Overcharging a battery is a problem. Basically with any automotive battery you want to keep it from completely discharging, something known as a cycle. They can only handle so much of that so we want to keep them topped up 'tis all. If the bike is idle, hit it with the minder (trickle charger) once a month and the battery will be fine.

Busted my right fibula last december. It never healed properly. The doctor implanted a titanium shaft of approx 1/2" 1/2" x 5" into that bone with the required 7 screws on 8/4. I am keeping my weight offa it with crutches but sometimes you just hafta go. Note the large boot cast on the right leg. It weighs about 15 pounds and keeps the joint straight and sound.

Makes braking on the rear wheel a real adventure since I get little feedback through the steel sole.

Sorry to hyjack, but how are you liking them engine bars? Easy on that leg - let nature heal it a bit.
