Scotty "The Kid" with the rat rod that attended the midwest rally wrecked his bike yesterday and is in our local Hosp. Had srgery to left arm. Bike went out from under him on a turn, he crossed over oncoming lane & into a farmers fence before being thrown. Bike probably totalled. Whoever is waiting on the sissy bar be patient it will be there, Scotty is a very very lucky kid. Ride safe peeps & u can contact me @ relady55@hotmail.com I'm Vicki, Scotty's Mom

No! That sucks so bad. I met and hung out with Scott at the midwest rally in July, very cool guy. Glad to hear it wasn't worse, and that he'll be ok. Too much news like this on here lately.

I'm shocked. Extremely. I also know Scott pretty well as I spent A LOT of time with him at the MW Rally. Very cool guy. Is he able to speak on his cell phone at this time?

[Note: moved from the duplicate thread which I've deleted] I saw something about this on Facebook: Quote:
Scott Stoner is in pain...i have a huge gash in my arm. For those of you who don't already know, I was in a motorcycle wreck.
Not good at all. Heal up, dude.

btw my cell phone is down...im staying at my moms for the next couple days the number here is 812 886 5380

Sorry to hear about the accident Scott, hope and prayers for a speedy and full recovery. In spite of all the work (you certainly had one of the more memorable scoots at the MW rally) the bike can be replaced in time.

You have my sympathy, Scott. I hope you're up and about real soon and like Rich said, the bike can be replaced you can't.

I talked to Scott this evening, said he doesn't know what went wrong to make him crash, just riding along the highway through a bend and lost traction. Went down on the right side. Highway speed with no helmet and shorts, dude got seriously lucky. He's got some road rash across his arms, chest, legs, and stomach. Has a good size gash in one arm. No broken bones, amazingly. He hasn't seen his bike yet, but has heard some say it's fixable and some say it's totaled. If it's totaled he told me he's going to buy it back anyway. He got really lucky on this one.

I talked to Scott too this evening. To add to Dave's discussion, Scott said he knows his bike has bent forks, twisted handle bars, both fenders torn up, and the tank is bashed in on both sides. He'll find out later if it's a total. Good luck with everything, Scott.

On the bright side, I am being released tomorrow, get to see home front for the first time since July 16 or so. I am debating between a t-bird, or simply replacing the BA. Again the good Friar assures my the Cardinal Red 2002 BA has been reduced to a veritable piece of toast

I'm really Glad to hear you are physically going to mend alright Scott cos we already have heavy hearts about Sal. I know this won't make you feel better when you see your bike but how you feel is temporary and soon you will be up and at em again.

Wow dude, you really did get lucky. Maybe you should think about playing the lottery this week. I know you're feeling bad about the bike, but you can build another, faster, stronger, you know, like Steve Austin.

Heal up Scott. Listen to the docs and the PT and do what they say. Looks like you have a lot of heart and soul left over to put into more bikes. (If not as much blood....... )

Hey Scott didn't realize the situation when I PMed you. Yeah, the road - she be a hard mistress. I know. The hard part will be when you go to get on the next bike for the first time after a mean one. But jump on it as quick as you can is my advice. Otherwise it sets on the mind. Take care.
