Finally sending my Corbin back for a rework. I've got probably well over 12,000 miles on it and it's still as hard as the day I took it out of the box. Even thought it's been a few years, they're still going to rework it for free, as long as I pay shipping to get it there. Now that's customer service.
I'm also having them recover my backrest for $85, including shipping back.

Good deal on the customer service. My Corbin arrived great out of the box, no break in required and your's was stiff as a board. Go figure? A year or so ago somebody on this board mentioned the Florida mfc had been having problems. I wonder if the original came from there? Not that it makes any difference at this point.

We noticed that in Georgia last year, everyone's felt different. Mine which was only a few days old felt softer than Pat's which was like a rock. I understand he just had his redone.

Maybe they factored in weight? <ducking and running!>

6000 miles, on mine and it is still like a rock, problem is posting it from the UK. They charge an arm and a leg to post anything to the US...

It's a little-known fact that Corbin has and uses more than one density of foam. When I received my solo, it was hard as a rock. I sent it back with a request that they redo it with a top layer of slightly softer foam, and it came back just right, with a little "give" to it but not too much.

Mine is still very "firm" also. Butt, (tha's a joke, y'all), I like it firmer instead of softer, at least on longer rides. In fact, just got off the phone with Corbin ordering the pillion pad for my spousal unit--she's been complaining about the stock pad. Hopefully, this'll quiet her down.

If that Corbin pillion pad doesn't help, try new shocks. The Progressive 412s I put on last month made a huge difference in the ride according to my wife. I had already sandwiched a Pro Pad gel insert in the stock pillion pad, but my wife still complained about bumps and jolts. Much better now with the Progressives.

Got me some top-o-the-line Hagon stainless nitrogen shocks. Not too impressed with their 'infinite adjustability,' though.
