Hey dudes and dudets,anyone know the Bike bandit part number for that plastic loop/clip that holds the speedo cable on the front mudguard of an 04 Speedy? Its not real clear on the diagram.Thanks.

just get a metal replacement from newspeedmaster, or else it will just break again

I think someone posted some alternatives in the Tech Vault. I bought the one from Brent. Pricey, but jewel-like in construction. It always makes me smile when I clean it.

Go to a boat place and get a stainless clevace, someone on here did that and it looked really cool. Made me wish I had thought of it.

There are definitely cheaper alternatives out there, most are one piece. If you have to remove the speedo cable (easy, phillips screw) - DON'T OVERTIGHTEN - the housing is very easy to break.....

I have a rubber one somewhere in the garage, never been used. PM me and I'll send it to you.
When it breaks, buy Brent's or make one out of a stainless eyebolt and a couple of stainless and rubber washers.

A bolt and a cable clamp will work. Get them at any hardware store. Just make sure the clamp is large enough that the cable can move through it easily.

My original one didn't make it a year on my 05 America. It was replaced at the one year service on warranty and the replacement has held fine for 3 years. I think there must have been a bad run on the loops or a change occurred in 06.
