What brands and types of oil and brake fluid should I purchase? How bout the battery?
For your piece of mind, go to your Triumph dealer and get Modil T4 for the 1st oil change. Gunna be big bucks, but at least you wont be thinking about that while out adjusting yourself to a new bike. As far as break fluid, I would do the same. Use what Mr. Bloore intended. Then make your decisions on different oils, and there many.
