I'm still preoccupied by this and Rossmeyer's accident (doesn't help that I still have visions of Freedom's accident in my head). In both cases they weren't wearing helmets (not that helmets would've saved either--but you never know) and in both cases the authorities say, essentially, they weren't paying attention to what the cagers around them were doing. A local AZ paper is saying Derek failed to yield right of way to the other vehicle. These deaths are so dammed senseless. Be careful out there, kiddies. Just because you think you have the right of way doesn't mean the cages have any less mass. Ultimately they always have the right of way.
