any one here done the 988 kit yet what machine work is envolved and what was your total build cost? 
2005 America 145 mains, , #48 pilots, , k&n pod filters, ported intakes manifolds, nology coils and wires, pro com CDI, 62 HP at wheel 68,000 hard miles still runs great gone "traded"

Damien, CLICK HERE Itll give you an idea of whats involved and if you scroll all the way down you can get an idea of prices. Its not perfect but its a start. Ive never called BP (Bonneville Performance) but I hear they are nice folks and will answer all your questions.

the crank is the expensive part, 3k if i remember. also talk to bill he will answer everything you want and then some. but for any of the real big bore kits i would set aside 4-5k and if you have money left then thats good. a llot of money but i will do somewhere around 1100 sometime and i figure its cheaper than a new bike.

Don't forget Triumph Performance. http://www.triumphperformanceusa.com/ind...obrd26i1ljqlfi2 Their complete crank and cylinder kit is $3144. Then you need head work, and cams, and carbs and shim under bucket and air box elliminator and lots and lots of money....
