Did you eliminate the original fuel vent altogether? I'd think you could test the fuel flow by running a hose out of one of the carb bowl drains (into a suitable container) and opening the set screw valve and observing the flow. I'd also be tempted to clean the carbs just to insure the tank sealant hasn't fouled one of the jets.
