part of the problem is the irrational attachement these companies have to the Vtwin. Its a solid powerplant if you build it the size of a barn, but anytime theyre under say 800cc or so they dont have enough top end for sustained high speed ridin (aka highway runs, which cruisers are built for). To me, the Speedmaster is the ultimate small-block cruiser. And I will commend any company, Jap American or otherwise, that can even come close... tho Im not holding my breath.
