Several times I was 1st, 2nd or third on scene of an accident. Several times in the company of someone sick and possibly needing help. Couldn't stand not being able to do anything. So I took an EMT basic course years ago. Ive never ran with a service, but maintain certification with continuing education.
This way, I know exactly when to call a Paramedic! And a few little things to help even without a jump bag.
