No offense, but STP oil filters are bargain basement and not known as a quality filter. I'd opt for a NAPA Gold, K&N or Pure One filter for a few bucks more. The Triumph filter is actually pretty decent and was less than the NAPA Gold or K&N ($10 now).



I believe STP filters llike Bosch, Mobil and Wix are made by Champion filter company in Japan. Better than average in most tests. Champion makes most of the OEM filters for the major Japanese mototrcycle companys. This is not the Champion of Spark Plug Fame but a completely different company.


You are right, the STP isn't bad. The Bosch is apparently a step in filter quality but the Wix (NAPA), K&N, Mobil 1 or Pure 1 filers are even better for a few bucks more. Some interesting filter points here:
