I was just at my local autp parts store and I saw a Valvoline oil filter VO7(fom a range of small cars) which is exactly the same external dimensions as my Triumph oil filter. I,m not sure about the thread but it looked the same. Has anyone had experience with these filters. I might go and buy one and check it out.
