I now have a 2002 Bonneville America in addition to my Speedmaster. It has 11,700 miles on it, came with all kinds of chrome accessories including the George Foreman grill, cam cover, passenger foot peg holders(which I promptly removed), tall sissybar and luggage rack, plus the uber rare chrome right side cover. Not bad for $3200. So far I've taken off the short turn outs and put on the Speedmaster drilled out stockers. Also chucked the stock Bridgestones which had dry rot cracks in the sidewalls for some ME880s. I'm christening her on Saturday with a one week trip to Colorado since my Speedmaster's 904 kit couldn't be finished in time. Don't know yet if I'll keep the BA once I get the Speedy running, but I shouldn't take much of a hit if I do sell. Only have a garage shot right now, and a bad one at that. I'll get some glamor shots next week in New Mexico and Colorado.

Congrats!!! Having two Triumphs is awesome. Great for when the dealership keeps one for a LONG time for a simple issue because they don't stock parts for COMMON problems that happen under warranty... Just saying.

Obviously I missed something Derek but I thought you were going to get some sorta out and out tourer or is this just an infill? Looks good though and, like you say, if you sell it on quickly afterwards then you shouldn't take too much of a hit on it. Have a great trip mate.

Well what happened was I couldn't get the Speedmaster's 904 kit done in time for the trip, and I figured renting a Harley would set me back close to $1,000 for the week I'll be gone(not to mention them Harleys can be some of the most ill handling bikes around, as you well know). The BA just happened to come along on in the local ads about the same time I realized the Speedmaster wouldn't be done, so....I jumped on it.
As for a touring bike, that's another story. I have a 1993 Yamaha GTS1000, a great sport-touring bike and a nice conversation piece due to it's forkless front end. Unfortunately after having my left knee replaced last August, I can't ride it for more than an hour without my knees telling me the next day; "Get rid of that bike or you'll be taking pain killers every time your ride it". It's a shame, because I really enjoy cruising down the highway on that bike, and it handles pretty good in the curves for a 650 lb porker. So the plan is to put that bike up for sale when I get back from Colorado.
And then there's the wife. She doesn't know if she can handle long days on a bike anymore after having 2 vertebrae in her back fused a couple of years ago. So on this trip she's driving the chase truck with all the camping gear, and I'm riding the BA. We haven't decided what to do about her riding. Either we get a big lazy touring bike like a Gold Wing, or we could get a trailer, and even a toy hauler.
Bottomline...it sucks getting old!

Have any arrest warrants been issued for you, since you stole that bike?
Welcome to the mult-Triumph club. I got 3, looking for 4 (Thunderbird).
Yes! getting old sucks.

I know what you mean there Derek. My wife had two vertebrae fused and two titanium rods about four years ago. There's no way she will ever ride on the back of my SM. That's one reason I set it up solo. With a good exercise program, she's strengthened considerably but we still need to find something with the seating position and suspension so she can ride comfortably. Something that is still cool too. It promises to be a challenge

As if there were any answer possible aside from: "The air cooled parallel twin of course!"
