You dont have to chrome the lower forks, just paint strip the powder coat, then you will find the factory machine markings that the powder coat covered up. Wet sand with 600/800 and up, then bench polish with 8" buffing wheel, over and over and will end up looking as good as chrome without the upkeep of chrome, just use Blue Magic or Semichrome once in awhile to keep shine up, visit the Customs Gallery, under my name GUSSER to see mine
