HELP please!! I've been looking for a pair of Black coyboy style boots with chisel toes for ages now. My problem is I can't get any I see on my feet!! I have emailed lots of different shops/suppliers but always get the same story back....sorry our boots are 16-17" diameter round the top. My calfs are 19" around. Does anyone know of wider fitting boots? A uk supplier would be even better lol! Adey? you know of anyone?....not that I'm saying you are chunky or anything  At this rate I'm going to have to go for ankle boots and they just look daft imo

I bought these almost 12 months ago while in Arizona from "Boot Scootin'" in Cave Creek.
Actually the same colour too!!
I've worn them every time I ride and apart from the occational wax, they have never leaked!
Because they are brown, they have .. ahem .. aged with use.
There is a dark mark where the gear change lever has rubbed 'em.
Also, the right heel as a little chunk taken out were the foot guard rubs.
They are made by Durango .
The model number is DB594 and the brown pic came up when I entered it in the search box - I guess you'll have to search more to find black.
I stayed with a friend while over there and she has just gone back after a Christmas visit - I told her I needed another pair, funnily enough, in black as a second pair to wear for normal use.
I wish i'd bought two pairs while I was there  .
I paid, I think, $130 (around £70 at the time).
I normally take 12 in footwear but these were 13D (wider fitting - not normally a choice over here!!).
I made the mistake of wearing them for the first time when I went to Las Vegas and rubbed a blister approx 1 1/2" diameter on each foot! Nice!
I couldn't wear shoes for 2 1/2 weeks and come back through customs wearing flip flops.
(Point of interest: customs don't bother x-raying flip flops!  )
They are so comfy now and I wore them when I came to Edinburgh for Hogmanay - walked around for nearly 9 hours, no problems. They do not squeeze my calf at all - there is a gap around the leg.

What I suggest yoo do is hop on a plane to Florida or Louisiana, go wrestle a 'gator and when he gives up, relieve him of his skin to make into a pair of boots!
19 inches!! Holy moly, you need a spell out in the backs so that you can reverse some of that scrum compression!

OK, I couldn't rest, I looked for ya and I think these are the babies ...
When I go back, these will be the ones I get.
Also, forgot to mention, they skootch down a bit.
They don't hold that shape.
The wrinkle down, just above the ankle.
I don't have a problem with that - just saying.
Sado that I am, I'll take a pic of mine and post tomorrow.
I don't think they are a 'great' brand truth be told.
Sort of like normally shopping at Kwik-Save but making do with Tesco instead of getting to Sainsbury's - make sense???
Not made in the US so quality may not be there compared to US made boots.
Though to be fair, they've more than lasted so far through our winter (rain, snow, salt etc).

What is a "chisel toe"?
I have a pair of black, Justin Roper's. Low, heel boots. Probably the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned. They have leather soles which isn't so good for riding a bike but they sell the same Roper boot in their "Basics" line with oil-resistant rubber soles for abour $50.

these dingos are great and them come in extra wide, I own a pair and i love them extremly comfortable and they are great for riding

It's just a blunt tip toe like the one in the pics posted in this thread. Your typical cowboy boots have a pointed toe...which makes it easier to get your boots in the stirrups, and to kill cockroaches that have scurried off to an inside corner wall in the kitchen.

Nobby......If I started playing in the backs i'd need to start ironing my short like all the poofy backs do.....;)
Not played much this year...nowhere near as much as I wanted to play thats for sure. Still we have the Welsh tour in a few weeks, no doubt I'll be playing on the wing or something silly then!

I once made the mistake of making up the numbers for the oppo's during one game. Ended up on the wing & managed to score against my own club! Boy did I pay for that in court later!!!!

Contact Tony Lama Boots in Texas. They made me some lizard skin 11 4E boots once at a reasonable price. I know they have an 11 4E black cowboy boot in stock because I bought a pair of those also. I have big calves, like you and have plenty of room. Can't speak to the square toe issue though.

Ah the kangaroo court....
We have a special chair for such events.
To witness the court you must first pay homage to the court by drinking fingers of beer equal to the number of people within the court.
Then for every charge more fingers of beer must be drunk by all.
Each guilty charge is follwed by the downing of the remainder of your pint.
The most leniant fine is the downing of a pint in one
The most serious it a drink called the swampy
Basically its a pint glass with each of the dark spirits the bar has
IE 1 Whisky, 1 Whiskey, 1 Dark rum, 1 brandy etc....
this is then topped up with dark ale and finished with a baileys to curdle it all.
I much prefer drinking a strawberry milkshake which is like the swampy but its made with each light sprit in the bar topped with lager and a dash of blackcurrent juice. This is then finished with an advocat to cloud the drink like a milkshake.
This years tour of Wales is going to see me in court on the highest charge possable.....my wife has organised a ladies tour of wales and managed to get booked onto the same flight as the guys!
oh woe is me.....still on the bright side she knows what goes on tour and at least I won't be paying for too many drinks after a few swampy's and milkshakes....I just hope the the idea of conbining the two in a yard glass doesn't enter many heads.

Grip, I have an odd-sized foot, to go with my odd-sized body, and had a pair of custom boots made by Wesco. Cost a bit--around $400--but they fit like a glove. After you order, they send you a fitting kit with detailed instructions for measuring a bunch of spots on your feet, ankles and calfs. They even include the cloth tape measure. You choose all the features you want, and the boots show up at your door about 3 or 4 months later. Okay, so it's not the best possible situation, but I got exactly what I wanted, great quality and they feel great. Wesco is one of the oldest boot makers in the U.S. Nice motorcycle boots. Wesco Boots

Thanks for your post Phil. I didn't know about Wesco (Big Black Boots). I have trouble in that I have very narrow feet. It it extremely hard to find boots in narrow widths. Apparently, they make them all the way to AA. Even though they are pricey, it may be worth the money to get nice boots that fit.

Good link that Adey, they look quite good as well, I have a pair from the 70s/80s, but they have the pointed toe and are made by Wrangler but I cannot get them on now, they seem small on the width.

I have Thomas Cook , Johnny Rebs. Not sure if they are available outside Oz. Bought them 20 years ago and they still do the job. They are the same as the the ones Adey posted on the 11th.

Actually your feet grow well into your 40s or 50s. When I was a kid around 21 years old I wore a size 13D. Now at 51 I wear a 14EEE, and might have to go to a 14 and a half .
