Check steering head bearings,front/rear wheel alignment.Front wheel bearings.Do a wheel balance. How many miles on the tyre? I had one that went away 5kph either side of 80kph.Fixed it[I think] with new tyre.At 100mph though???

I just replaced my headset and wheel bearings from AllBallsRacing.com. The headset was dry on the neck bearing, and probably would have been fine with some grease and an adjustment. One of my wheel bearings was tight. My bike has 30k on it. Quote:

Didja ever skid the back tire? I've had 3 sets of Avons, and while I don't go 100 mph, I do know that once the rear is "showing signs of wear" it ain't long till it's showing cords. A panic stop where you lock up the rear really hastens the process. And the fronts seem to cup badly after about 2500 miles.
My experience - YRMV...

Is that like wichadidja? I have locked up the rear tire on occaision and it looks like I will be replacing the rear tire at a minimum before the NorEast Rally. I have looked at the front and there is no visible cupping, even running my hand over the tire I can not feel any cupping or uneven wear. I probably will just replace them both to be safe. Better safe than sorry!

That's got to be more than a little unnerving to get a wobble at 100 MPH!! Yikes!

It is not that bad but there is a definite shake or wobble at 100+ mph. If I stay under the ton (actually about the 110mph)mark it is good.

This one's a big maybe but easy to try. Our bikes are about as aerodynamic as a brick. The faster you go, the less weight is on the front tire due to wind pressure. Try going one notch higher on the rear spring preload and see if that helps.

I had the same thing happen to me. Right at 100 mph the front would shake bad. I checked the wheel and tire for round and couldn’t find a problem anywhere. I put on a new front tire and all was fixed. The tire was a Metzler 880, wore but not wore out. A few days before, I had hit a cut in the pavement where Penn DOT was doing something. It was a pretty hard hit so I figered that caused the shake even though I couldn’t see anything wrong. Dealer tightened the head bearings and checked the balance with no help. In the end a new tire fixed it.
I've become comfortably numb
