YEP! You see, FIRST with your "But what's the point", NOT ONLY did you crystalize the thought in his fevered little head that "all liberals just give up when the goin' gets tough", BUT with your "Have a beer and chill out" line, you're ALSO tellin' him that in essence "All liberals are naive enough to still think that there's hope in the world for some sort of a 'Utopia' where even people LIKE HIM can 'chill out' and just have fun talking to others about which ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE they prefer WITHOUT ALWAYS interjecting their own friggin' political viewpoints at every friggin' turn!"!
