Bill, those shocks go very nicely with your tank mate. Nice work, and I'll second you about the fast one

Shocks are accessories.

Sorry, figured the Triumph custom painted tank/front fender, TORs, aftermarket grips, fender bib, solo finishers, flame mirrors and shocks made it somewhat custom.
It looked like this when I bought it:

Not going to argue semantics. Factory and aftermarket bolt-ons make it "personalized" or "accessorized," not custom. Sorry if you disagree. Cut metal, fabricate something from scratch or squirt paint and it's custom. By the bolt-on logic, practically every single Harley on the road is "custom."

Doesn't mean your bike not a really nice bike. It is. It looks sweet.

I have a custom candy orange paint job and a few made-from-scratch brackets and such and I don't really consider my bike custom. Now maybe when I get the chopped rear fender, shaved tank and second custom paint job done, maybe then...

Basically, those are 412 shocks. How's the ride?

Thanks to all for the kind words...
The ride on these shocks is very comfortable in my opinion; or rather I should say compared to stock shocks. When my bike and I were in an accident in late May, I requested those shocks be put on. Interesting, the cost to replace one Triumph shock was $500 and the cost for the pair of these was $386. Same went for the muffler. The one left muffler was almost $400 so with money saved from the shocks, I had them put on the TORs and re-jet. It's nice not to sound like George Jetson anymore going down the road.

It is semantics but I have to agree with Friar on this one.

Like he says though, nothing wrong with a nicely personalised bike. In fact I have seen some bikes personalised to the point where they have been "uglyfied".

In other words, made to look worse IMHO than when a stock bike. So there is a lot to be said for someone who has good taste that can not only make a bike look good but with it function well. Then you know someone's on the right track.

I think those 412's are a good example of what I'm talking about

Nice looking bike! No need to be a lurker.

Don't lurk and don't pout. These guys didn't see how you came at me in that PM. I didn't post that and I'm not bustin your chops. I'm just 'splaining and that explanation is worth letting others see. And in case you haven't noticed, I moved some other threads out of Customs, too.

Yes, indeed. Nicely blinged out

I don't care if it's personalized or customized, I like it a lot and appreciate you sharing your accomplishments with those of us trying to decide what to do next to make our bikes "our own."
Heck, I even like Friar even though he's sometimes a little over-protective of us all. Thin skin would make us all Lurkers but that wouldn't be very interesting would it?

Yes, mine are stock length.
When you order from Eddy he will ask what length you do want. I find them more comfortable than the stock were.
The only things I don't like about them are the progressive stickers and when the bike is off and parked, if you bounce on it to make the shocks compress they do make a noise.

Just peel the stickers off and use a bit of solvent to clean off the left over glue.
