Nevermind. Sat on a Thunderbird (blue with white stripe) in Spokane on Monday. That's the ticket. Guy just pulled up in Nelson on a black one. Sold. Rocker what?

Nice isn't it? I'm still hoping to use my HD as a trading tool to get one...

I've said it before, there's nothing wrong with a Harley, but there's something right with a Triumph. We had a Road King in the family for a time and, while it's a lovely road bike, it is just too bulky to fit my style. Between the Dyna and Softail lines, both are nice enough but I like the ST a bit better. You can't really compare them to the America because they are different animals, rather like comparing a 383HP powered Chrysler and a Jensen Interceptor. Same power and gearbox, and close to the same weight but the Chrysler has an 8 Hoffa boot and the Jensen has much better cornering.

Now I've got my diehard Harley buddy drooling over the new Thunderbird. I think this thing is going to sell like hotcakes. May have to get a Rocket III just because of availability...

P.S. Saw a solid black one at the Kootenay Raid. That is the SHIZNIT. Too bad Corky rides it like an old man. He needs to let me break it in for him.

I have to say...I wasnt visually diggin the Ts until I saw Brads (Corkys). Black is so much nicer than the silver w/ blk stripe.
I do wish they would have done something to make it look more retro but Im sure that wasnt the goal.

I dig it. I would change very little beyond the requisite K&N, TORs, EFI remap and do something with that ugly license plate bracket. After that, accessories: bags and windshield and ride it like I stole it...
